  • On this day in 1968.  An assassin shoots Robert (Bobby) Kennedy in Los Angles at the Ambassador Hotel after winning the California presidential primary.

 

  • On this day in 1956.  Elvis Presley introduces his new single ‘Hound Dog’, on The Milton Berle Show and scandalised the audience with his suggestive hip gyrations.

 

  • On this day in 1971.  Mark Wahlberg was born on this day in Boston, Massachusetts.  American actor, producer, model and former rapper, known as Marky Mark. He has starred in movies such as The Fighter (2010), Ted (2012), The Departed (2006) and The Italian Job (2003).

        Yes it is a fun project! and I’m so glad that other people are enjoying it as well. I’m glad you loved it here in QLD! Tonight is State of Origin, if you were here for a year I’m sure you probably heard all the hype! QLD vs NSW in rugby league, QLD has won 7 consecutive series. Go Queenslander!

        I definitely remember State of Origin! Though I don’t really understand rugby, I couldn’t help but get caught up in all the excitement. I lived in Townsville, and I remember The Cowboys as well.
